    James Bogash, DC

    Dr. James Bogash, DC

    Chiropractor

Dr. Bogash was raised in the frigid suburbs of Chicago and graduated with his bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. After working for 3 years, he went back to school and ultimately graduated from the National University of Health Sciences with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1997, moving out to Arizona in the spring of 1998.

He opened Lifecare Chiropractic in March of 1998 and has been actively involved in educating the community since. He has or currently serves on the board of directors for the Kiwanis Club of Tempe, Tempe YMCA, and the Arizona Association of Chiropractic.

Dr. Bogash stays current with new research, reading in excess of 120 peer-reviewed medical journals per month. He uses his knowledge of physiology combined with new research to educate patients on the best methods to avoid or manage chronic disease, and his 10-week lifestyle management class is one of the most comprehensive programs available to teach patients everything they need to know to make positive lifestyle changes. Because of this passion for knowledge, helping patients, and clarifying tough health issues he has become a sought-after lecturer.

Of particular interest is neurophysiology and its impact on conditions like epilepsy, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, and Lou Gehrig’s disease (ALS). Many researchers believe we have found what causes these conditions and the means to help prevent them in future generations is waiting to be used.

As a chiropractic physician, Dr. Bogash also stays current on the latest treatments in physical medicine. He is one of a handful of physicians in Arizona that is certified in Graston Technique, arguably one of the most effective soft tissue treatments for difficult cases and chronic injuries involving scar tissue formation.

    Practice Info

At Lifecare Chiropractic, we believe that patients should spend the majority of their time with their doctors, not with assistants. At some chiropractic clinics, patients spend just a few minutes with their doctors. When you visit Lifecare Chiropractic, you get quality time with a doctor of chiropractic. We make sure we have the time to explain your treatment and answer your questions.

The doctors at Lifecare Chiropractic care for your muscles as well as your joints. Joints and muscles work together, and they are often injured together. An unresolved soft-tissue injury can lead to joint pain down the road. We have a comprehensive approach to the soft-tissue aspects of our patients¹ problems so that they can recover completely and stay well.

Some patients have suffered soft-tissue injuries that are just as debilitating as joint injuries. For these patients, we offer the Graston Technique. This therapy uses specially-designed tools to break down scar tissue that restricts your movements and interferes with proper joint alignment. The Graston Technique has been extremely effective for patients who have not been helped by conventional adjustments alone.

    Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment

After spending quite a bit of time digging into the research on mild Hyperbaric oxygen treatment (mHBOT), combined with a remarkable study that was able to actually REVERSE aging (telomere length) in 65 year-olds, Dr. Bogash felt it was time to pull the trigger and installed a chamber in his practice.

This mild hyperbaric chamber will produce 1.3 ATAs. The research at this pressure is still developing, but solid enough for the office to feel comfortable enough to offer it to our patients.

Here is the shortlist of conditions that can respond to mHBOT (some of this research is in animals, some in humans):

    • Prediabetes / diabetes
    • High blood pressure
    • Arthritis pain
    • Faster healing of soft tissue injuries
    • Skin pigmentation/sun-damaged skin
    • Parkinson’s disease
    • Alzheimer’s disease
    • Concussion / Post concussive syndrome
    • Fatigue

There is also the chance that mHBO can play a strong role in Covid-19 infection recovery.

The chamber is almost 3′ in diameter (tall enough for most people to sit in) and over 7 1/2′ long. It can be big enough to contain two people with windows. There is a chance that someone who is very claustrophobic wouldn’t be able to tolerate the tube.

Treatment time is an hour total. You can bring in a book, a small electronic device, or a laptop or just take a much-needed nap.  Pricing per session is $100 or a package of 10 for $800. These sessions can be used by two people if you’re willing to share the space.
